GLBRT CrossFit Competition September 22, 2013

Last weekend, I competed in my first CrossFit competition.  I began CrossFit in June, and grew very passionate about it.  With a few months of training, I decided it would be beneficial for me to get used to competing again, whether it is boardercross or not.  I am so glad I decided to do this competition.  It was a 4 person team competition, 2 guys and 2 girls.  I joined a team with 3 people from my current CrossFit box in Mount Pleasant, MI.  My love for CrossFit has grew since this competition, it is truly an amazing thing!

This event even gave me new personal records! PR of 95# clean & jerks, as well as finally completing pull ups! YEAH!

Event 1:
"XL Karen"
10 minute cap:
200 wall balls for time.
Women 16# 9' target. Men's 20# 11'.
1 person working at a time.
5 burpees EMOM (whole team).

Score=Time. 1 second added for every Wall Ball not completed.

Event 2:
"Grace and Isabel's Big Day"
10 minute cap
Part 1:
"Grace" (135/95)
Part 2:
30 Box Overs (24/20)
Part 3:
"Isabel" (135/95)
Part 4:
30 T2B

One Athlete working at a time. There is no requirement on how many reps each athlete needs to complete. There will be two bars provided for the WOD. There will be no scaling for this wod.

One second added for every rep not completed.

Event 3:
"Fran Fran go Fran"
10 minute cap.

Pull ups

- One person working at a time.
- Each teammate must complete a thruster and a pull-up in each round.
- Jump pull ups will be allowed
